Lifetime recently named Brie Miranda Bryant Senior VP Unscripted Development and Programming. She will be replacing Mariana Flynn, who left in April.

Bryant is no stranger to heading reality television. She previously served as Senior VP of Unscripted at BET. She also oversaw Bad Girls Club and The Preachers at Oxygen. Bryant’s history also includes working in publishing at Teen Vogue and at the Tribeca Film Festival as well as producing shows such as Jersey Couture, All About Aubrey and Running Russell Simmons.

In her new role at Lifetime, The New York University graduate will be overseeing various popular shows including Dance Moms, Bring It! and Project Runway from New York City.

Lifetime Executive VP and Head of Programming, Liz Gateley, made a statement Monday saying, “I’ve long admired Brie’s strong creative instincts and great relationships and could not be more thrilled to welcome her to Lifetime. Her diverse skill-set in navigating the worlds of publishing, film, and television has translated into hit-making and I can’t wait to see what she develops next.”

Brie Miranda Bryant’s long history in television seems to promise that some great reality television is to be expected from Lifetime in the future.
