In recognition of Women’s History Month, this national series promotes direct networking, mentorship, and engagement with successful business leaders.

Houston, TX – Joy M Hutton
Joy M. Hutton is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She has dedicated her professional life to helping others through nonprofit leadership and business development for over a decade. Joy graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, with a Bachelor of Arts and holds a Master of Public Administration from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She also earned her Nonprofit Finance Certification from Rice University in Houston, TX. “As a woman of color entrepreneur, it is important for me to pour into and invest in other women as my mentors have done for me”
Joy is a seasoned professional with a strong strategy orientation and has worn many operating hats before starting her firm, Joy of Consulting. She is a visionary and possesses the skills to formalize a company’s strategic planning processes, cultivate working relationships across the organization, and has the ability to make quick decisions.

Joy is truly an advocate for small businesses. She holds leadership positions with the following organizations: National Small Business Association, Congressman Pete Olson’s Small Business Advisory Council, Johnson Space Center Small Business Council, and LiftFund. She is also a co-host on the Business Breakfast Talk Show, a radio show that delivers tips for those who want to start and run a business.
